Mission

The mission of the World Short Film Festival is to promote good short films and help filmmakers take the next step in their careers. The festival seeks to award outstanding independent films based upon their originality and ability to tell a compelling story.

During each edition, our jury awards the best films during private screenings. We aim to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their unique voices, foster creativity and innovation in the film industry, and facilitate cultural exchange and understanding through the art of short filmmaking.

World Short Film Festival is an international competition for short films of all genres from talented short filmmakers. Our mission is to promote films and be another step up in the filmmakers’ careers to discover and promote talented filmmakers from all over the world and present them to the public.

The festival seeks to award outstanding independent films based upon their originality and ability to tell a compelling story.

Our goal is to support the selected projects by promoting the films on
the festival website and on social media. Thanks to the screening of
the films during the Festival, which takes place at the ATLANTIC
cinema in the centre of Warsaw, the award-winning films will reach
a large audience.

All nominees and winners receive laurels as well as Official Selection laurels for those selected to be in the competition. The competition is dedicated to promoting experienced and new filmmakers through a unique and important international film competition.
